Oh what lurks on those seats?

The last time I went to the grocery store, my hand actually stuck to the handle on the shopping cart. I had no idea what it was but I was lucky not to have the little oh- let- me- touch- that- and- immediately- put- my- little- hand- in- my-  little- mouth guy with me. I found a cute and stylish solution for the next trip. These shopping cart covers from Hula Moon are perfectly padded for comfort and wonderfully large to cover the entire buggy seat. Ewwww, I have the shivers. Find them here: shoppingcartcovers

Hula Hoop Turns 50

hulahoop.gifWii Fit goes old school. Even today's technology is giving credit where credit is due. The original Hula Hoop that became a cultural phenomenon 50 years ago (at one point the company was producing 20,000 per day!) is still going strong. Promoting outdoor activity with their fantastic line of simple yet timeless toys, Wham-O says Happy Birthday to a classic. We love the Hula Hoop in our house. Get outside this summer and check out the other fun toys from Wham-O. www.WHAM-O.com

Made in the ShadyBaby

shadybaby.jpgIf you are like us and the stroller shade never seems to cover enough no matter what time of day it is, you'll love this stroller parasol by ShadyBaby. The version we checked out was the Sock Monkey style - so stylish. The sturdy construction and versatility is an engineering coup. The attachment fits on all five strollers we tried and the simple push button adjustment allows you to easily change the position of the umbrella as you are strolling. The tilt feature on the top canopy allows even more flexibility for maximum shade protection without obstructing your view (said our most height-challenged user). Bonus? It's SPF 50+!! This is a hottest accessory to make all the other stroller jockeys jealous. You can find them here: ShadyBaby.com

Fiber Wig-Magic Mascara?

fiberwig.jpgSo if you heard the buzz about the new mascara that would replace your fasle eyelashes, let me tell you the personal testing results we found. We LOVE this mascara, but only because it's a good mascara. We did not find the "false eyelash-like" results as advertised. Bummer because we all love a good lash and even for a fancy occasion, glueing those puppies on takes time. The fibers in the product are supposed to interconnect to form long lashes. Again, we love this product but only because we love a good mascara. I waited to find this on the shelf because my local Sephora was sold out week after week but I finally found a tube in San Francisco. Worth the $22 price tag? Depends. We found a mascara that cuts the mustard just as well for less than $9 (L'Oreal Clean Definition Telescopic). Find Fiber Wig at Sephora online here.

Cover Me Up!

covermelittlecarr.jpgI have always liked the concept of the bib clips that turn anything like a paper towel or restaurant napkin into a bib. I just found a wonderful new way to turn any blanket into a breastfeeding cover up. Cover Me Clips from Little Carr are so well made, our tester couldn't yank the blanket off no matter how determined he was. This clip is so simple to use and it's adjustable. I love the bright design--so easy to find in my giant messy diaper bag pocket. Little Carr also offers a matching blanket that is very stylish. Find these great products here: Littlecarr.com

A New Healthy Exchange

ronzoni.gifWe have tired many of the whole wheat pastas in our attempts to add more healthy options to our meals. Most of them end up pushed around the plate when the white pasta gets devoured instantly. We found a new pasta with three times the fiber of regular white pasta and the same amount of calcium as an eight-ounce glass of milk. Our taste test went without a hitch and no one, and I mean no one, at the table even batted an eyelash. A definite win win situation. Try Ronzoni® Smart TasteTM for yourself. Available nationwide.

Save that Sleepytime CD

dskin.jpgWe all have a CD/DVD that we can't live without. We are keeping ours safe with the new Protective Disc Skins® by d_skin. Just snap a d_skin® onto your favorite discs and consider them protected. d_skin® stays on your discs even while they play and are totally readable right through the Skin. Once your discs are skinned, there's nothing to take off or put on when you're playing, storing or transporting. Check them out here: dskin.com

Breast Milk-sicles

slimlines.jpgI have found a way to freeze breast milk that's simple and easy on the environment. Get rid of those one time use plastic bags and try the Slim Lines Milk Trays TM system for freezing breast milk. Each tray holds eight 1 oz. portions of expressed breast milk. Once the portion is frozen, you can transfer it to a freezer-safe reusable container. It makes more room in the freezer and the unique design allows for the "sticks" to fit any bottle neck size. Great product with so many more benefits that can be described here. See for yourself: www.slimlines.biz

I Have a Can Do Kid!

candobar.jpgWe love these new all natural, 70% organic nutrition bars from Can Do Kid. They are so easy to pack along anywhere and keep us from filling up on less than nutritional and less than satisfying junk food. They have no trans fat and no high fructose corn syrup! They contain 17 essential vitamins and minerals and 9 grams of protein. Tastes and textures play a huge role in the success of a new food around these parts. I have the queen of all food testers (some might consider her finicky) in my very own home and she gave these bars two thumbs up. I feel really good about her snacking on these energy bars. If only I could keep up with her! Find out more about the bars and the amazing team behind them here: www.iamacandokid.com
